Gaming fans travelling to Dubai this month may want to head down to a 3D gaming competition which gets under way on Saturday.
The 3D Gaming Festival is the first of its kind in the region.
The competition at the Living Rooms video game cafe in Dubai Festival City will see gamers vying to be crowned the UAE's first-ever 3D gaming champion.
The tournament, which is organised by LG electronics and will run over a six-month period, consists of three parts - daily participation, weekly championship and monthly championship.
Gamers have four games to choose from, namely Dirt 3, Call of Duty, Michael Jackson 'The Experience' and FIFA Soccer '11.
The tournament, which could encourage gaming fans to go on luxury holidays to Dubai, will come to an end with a Mega Championship on January 6, next year.
A range of LG products, such as a gaming console, laptops, televisions, mobile phones, t-shirts and caps, will be given to the winners.
