Film lovers taking Dubai holidays can use the opportunity to attend the eighth
Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), which opened on December 7.
The festival got under way with Brad Bird's Mission: Impossible Ghost
Protocol.
The action-packed spy adventure, which is the fourth instalment in the
Mission: Impossible series, stars Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, who
reprises his role as IMF Agent Ethan Hunt. Cruise attended the screening
of the film at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.
Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol includes a scene where Cruise scales
the outside of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
Movies from more than 50 countries will have their world and regional
premieres at the festival.
Curtains will be drawn on this year's festival on December 14, and could
encourage more film lovers to take luxury holidays in the emirate during
the period.
Holidaymakers may already be considering taking flights to Dubai, after
the World Travel Awards ceremony honoured Jumeirah with the United Arab
Emirates' Leading Spa Resort title.
