Dubai has witnessed a rise in the number of people buying duty free products in its international airports.
Sales at Dubai Airport Duty Free are up by 16.4% to 3.78 billion United Arab Emirates dirhams (£658 million) to end of September, compared with the same period last year.
Tourists planning to take Dubai holidays can buy tax free products such as perfumes, gold, electronic goods and many more. Shopping for these cheaper products can be a good addition to their tailor made holidays.
Perfumes are holding on to the top position, while rose gold, accounting for 24% increase, was also among the best selling products.
The performance during the first nine months of the year put the retail operation at Dubai International Airport on track for year-end sales of an estimated 5.3 billion dirhams (£922 million).
