The number of passengers passing through Dubai Airport rose during
September, figures have shown.
The emirate's international airport said passenger traffic increased by
6.2% in September compared to the same month last year.
The number of passengers passing through the airport reached 4,236,587
during the month, the figures showed. The rising number of tourists
taking Dubai holidays is likely to have had a significant impact on the
growth, it is thought.
Holidaymakers heading to Dubai can add visits to attractions such as
Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall to their tailor made holidays.
Paul Griffiths, Dubai Airport's chief executive officer, said: "We have
had a good year so far in terms of passenger traffic and with the
Islamic pilgrimage of Hajj just a few days away, we expect to see
already robust passenger numbers surge."
