Tourism chiefs in the Seychelles and Mauritius continued their discussion on regional cooperation of
the two island nations to strengthen tourism appeal when they met at the
airline meetings at the Dubai Air Show.
Alain St Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, and Robert Desvaux,
the chairman of the Mauritius Tourism Promotional Authority, have
discussed the intentions of the two countries to work together in order
to strengthen the process of regional integration and the promotion of
tourism in the region.
Both heads of tourism initially started the discussion about working
together to promote tourism at World Travel Market (WTM) in London early
this month.
They also hope to increase the visibility of the two island nations.
The chiefs now plan to discuss specific joint action plans when Mr
Desvaux and the Mauritius minister responsible for tourism visit the
Seychelles.
Alain St Ange has also said that he is looking forward to the follow-up
meeting that will take place in his country.
With the joint plans being discussed, the Seychelles and Mauritius are
expecting to encourage more travellers to take luxury holidays to the
two island nations.
