The Canadian Rockies are an ideal destination for those planning luxury holidays abroad.

There are plenty of options for skiing and snowboarding for those adventurous tourists.

A new shuttle service has now been laid on from the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook, British Columbia, to Fernie Alpine Resort, the celebrated ski destination.

The service will come in handy for British winter sports enthusiasts who may want to visit the resort in the next couple of months.

Matt Mosteller, vice president of marketing at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, said: "No hassle, new non-stop flights and closest airport to skiing in Canada makes the Canadian Rockies International the place to land for your ski vacation this winter.

"It makes it so easy that you can be skiing the same day of arrival and skiers demand the quickest, most convenient service possible to maximise their vacation fun."
