Britons 'dream of Caribbean trip'

Of more than 2,000 Britons asked about their 'once-in-a-lifetime' experiences, one in 10 have revealed their dream of holidaying in the Caribbean.

According to the survey conducted by Scottish Widows, globetrotting and indulging in various travel activities top the list of experiences to be enjoyed once in a lifetime.

New research found that 9% of the people yearn to take Caribbean luxury holidays and want to take a stroll along the beautiful shores, with another 26% aspiring to go on a world tour.
      
Over a tenth (11%) revealed their dreams of swimming with dolphins and 9% wanted to go on safari.

Roger Black MBE, Olympic medal winner and Scottish Widows ambassador for the London 2012 Games, said: "A once-in-a-lifetime experience is something to aim for and can be very motivating. It's something that people aspire to do throughout their lives.

"For me, winning my Olympic medal was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It goes to show we can achieve our dreams, if we're willing to commit enough time and effort."
