Travellers looking for luxury holidays to New York have yet another reason for making
the trip, after Icelandic pop icon Bjork announced the details of her
upcoming US tour "Biophilia".

Bjork, who is known for her unusual fashion sense and unique live
performances, will be performing sets at the New York Hall of Science
and the Roseland over a four-week period later this year.

The tour, which includes a 24-piece Icelandic choir and a set of musical
instruments designed specifically for the shows, debuted in Manchester
in 2011 to critical acclaim before moving to Reykjavik.

A major part of the New York tour will be an educational program for
children, which is being supported by the New York Hall of Science and
The Creators Project. A limited number of VIP tickets to the events are
being offered to support the educational project.

The New York Hall of Science, where six of Bjork's 10 sets will be held,
is a major tourist attraction, and is the city's only hands-on science
and technology museum.
