More than one million people turned up for this year's Salalah Tourism Festival, figures show.
In recent years, Salalah has become a popular destination for tourists on luxury holidays.
The past week witnessed a huge turnout of tourists at the festival, according to the festival department of the Governorate of Dhofar.
Apart from entertaining activities, the festival attractions included exhibitions, child and traditional villages and theatre shows.
Most of the activities were staged in the Municipality's Entertainment Centre.
Apart from the various government departments, private bodies have also joined the festivities this year by providing useful services and information to visitors.
