Travellers to Thailand are set to have another event to add to their travel checklist, as the country hosts its annual guitar festival.

The gathering, which is only two years old, will be held in the capital city Bangkok between February 3 and 5, and will host some of the biggest names in guitar music from around the world.

Among the stars confirmed for the festival are Ukrainian musician Vitaly Makukin and classical guitarist Frank Bungarten.

Events will be held in the Thailand Cultural Centre, a venue that is already high up on the to-do lists of travellers taking luxury holidays to Thailand .

Speaking about the event, festival director Hucky Eichelmann said: "The heart of what we do is a drive to stimulate our audiences' imagination to open up the possibilities of what a guitar can be."
