A leading retail group in the UAE has introduced a novel concept store for childrenswear in Abu Dhabi.
Called Katakeet, the store promises an "interactive, multi-sensory" shopping experience for families on luxury holidays to the emirate.
Its owner Chalboub Group tasked London-based creative agency Caulder Moore to design the retail space to make it attractive to both children and parents.
The store resembles an open storybook with its three mascots - Beau, Belle and Bebe - appearing in the magical narrative.
Children's book illustrator Polly Dunbar has created the brand icons and illustrations for the store.
Katakeet provides clothing ranges for children up to the age of 10 and has premium brands including Burberry, Baby Dior, Rykiel Enfant, Fendi and Tartine et Chocolat.
According to Caulder Moore, which has designed everything from the shop interiors and packaging to graphics and the online portal, the concept is meant to "strike at the heart of what it is to be a child to create a truly memorable experience and lasting emotive connection with the brand".
