Emirates A380. The future has arrived
The Emirates A380 made its inaugural UK flight from London Heathrow to Dubai in December. The EK002/001 service operates daily and offers 14 First, 76 Business and 396 Economy Class seats. All passengers can look forward to spacious next generation seating and over 1000 channels of on-demand entertainment on the ice entertainment system.
First Class passengers can experience true luxury with private suites, the world’s first onboard shower spa and a private social area. The suites feature an 82" long fully fl at bed, 23" digital widescreen TV and personal mini-bar. Business Class passengers will enjoy 79" long fully fl at, massage enabled beds which feature a personal mini-bar, privacy divider and 17" digital widescreen TV. All premium passengers will be able to relax and enjoy their flight from the comfort of the exclusive onboard Lounge complete with bar, sofas and 42" TV. Passengers in Economy Class can also expect a spacious experience with a seat pitch of 33," a 10.6" personal digital widescreen TV and a laptop power supply.
These aircraft are the most environmentally advanced in the sky, flying up to 12,000 kilometres and offering better fuel economy per passenger kilometre than most hybrid passenger cars. The A380 is also quieter, both inside and outside of the cabin.
Emirates has placed the largest order for the revolutionary new Airbus A380 superjumbo, with 58 aircraft on order. The Emirates A380 now operates on selected departures from Heathrow to Bangkok, Seoul, Sydney and Auckland, all via Dubai.
Inflight Entertainment
- ice* – information, communications, entertainment, our state-of-the-art, award-winning inflight entertainment system, has over 600 channels to choose from in all classes.
- ice provides personal on-demand viewing – you can start, stop, rewind or fast-forward a choice of over 140 movies, 70 TV channels, 350 radio and CD channels and more than 40 games.
- Where ice is not available, Emirates provides personal seatback TV screens in all classes, offering a choice over 40 moves, as well as TV and information channels. A library of 50 movies is available to choose from in First Class and Business Class.
