The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) have updated their advice for Sharm el Sheikh as follows:- There was a shooting incident in the market area of Old Sharm in Sharm el Sheikh on 28 January.
Local authorities have dealt with the situation, which is thought to have been an attempted robbery by Bedouins.
It is reported that a French tourist was killed and a German tourist seriously injured.
All four perpetrators have been captured.
Kuoni's Destination Manager in Sharm has confirmed that Kuoni's customers in resort are safe and well and have been advised to exercise vigilance at all times.
Kuoni are monitoring the situation with their ground agents and will take all necessary action to ensure clients safety.
