The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has updated the travel advice for Italy with regards to flooding.

From reports received, flash floods have hit the Italian Riviera. Up to 500 millimetres of rain has fallen in the past 24 hours which has led to houses collapsing and roads and railway lines subsiding. The floods have also triggered landslides along the Cinque Terre area which includes the towns of Vernazza and Monteroso.
