On the 09 October 2011 a fire broke out at the Grand Mauritian in Mauritius. All persons in the hotel were evacuated.
Kuoni had four customers staying at the hotel during this time and all are reported to be safe and well and have been moved to an alternative hotel. The Kuoni Operations team are in close contact with the affected customers and the Kuoni ground agents to ensure that they are assisted as much as possible.
It is understood that the fire has caused some major damage to part of the hotel, however full details have not yet been released. The Kuoni Operations team will be contacting any customers due to travel to the Grand Mauritian as soon as they have more information.
