Kuoni is proud to have been voted ‘Best Longhaul Tour Operator’ for an unprecedented 27 years at Travel Weekly’s prestigious Golden Globe Awards. In a hugely successful evening, Kuoni also won the ‘Best Specialist Operator to the Far East, Pacific, Australia and New Zealand’ award and the ‘Best Specialist Operator to the Middle East’ award.
Known as ‘The Industry Oscars’, the glittering ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday night saw TV comedian Michael McIntyre present 48 awards to the most deserving businesses after 52,000 travel agents voted for their favourite suppliers.
Nick Hughes, Managing Director commented, “In the current environment I am especially pleased as this means that support from the trade is immense - at a time when in-house directional selling is at its peak, we can proudly say that we stand out as being the best amongst our peers.
We are delighted to have been once more voted ‘Best Longhaul Tour Operator’ by our agent partners. I would like to say a really big thank-you to all the agents who voted for us, and we look forward to bringing you many more years of fantastic service into the future. At Kuoni we pride ourselves on our breadth and depth of product as well as our excellent customer service, so to win the ‘Best Specialist to the Far East, Pacific, Australia and New Zealand’ and to the Middle East, makes me very proud.”
The close and highly productive working relationship that Kuoni enjoys with retail partners is treated with high priority with the ongoing introduction of new initiatives. Kuoni’s innovative travel agents training programme both in the UK and overseas, the Worldwide College, is constantly reviewed and enhanced, to educate and reward retail travel agents. These include the Worldwide Diploma which provides agents with a recognised standard of vocational travel education.
