Children are the future
Kuoni is committed to protecting the young. It’s hard to think about, but child sex tourism affects more than two million children all over the world. We’ve signed up to the international Child Protection Code and you can make a difference simply by not turning a blind eye. If you do see anything while you’re away that makes you suspicious of child sex tourism, do your bit and let someone know — your hotel management, tour guide, embassy or the local police.
Fair working conditions
Kuoni is firmly committed to ensuring fair working conditions within the tourist sector. This is why we oblige all our partners around the world – under our contractual agreements with them – to observe all their country’s employment laws and respect all internationally recognised human rights. Among other issues these contractual terms commit our partners to not tolerating any discrimination on the basis of sex or religion, to offer a safe and hygienic workplace and to pay the minimum wage for work done.
Travelife hotels
Travelife is a joint initiative by Kuoni and other operators that gives hotels Bronze, Silver or Gold awards for meeting important standards. Hotels should be energy and water efficient, use local suppliers wherever possible and minimise waste, as well as treating employees fairly and getting involved with the local community. Fashion for charity – K by Osman
To help people in developing communities, we’ve collaborated with designer Osman Yousefzada to create K by Osman, a collection of intricately hand crafted garments.
