Great Western American Adventure is an escorted tour from Day 2 to Day 15 on a luxury airconditioned coach.

Includes breakfast Day 2-15, lunch Day 3 and dinner Day 2, 5, 10, 11 and 13.

ACCOMMODATION
Is in four star hotels, but in remote areas and accommodation may be more rustic. Hotels confirmed with final itineraries.

TOUR INCLUDES
Door to door transfers from your home to your departure airport and return, within 100 mile radius each way. Supplements for distances over available on request. Available in mainland UK only. Other conditions apply, please ask for further details.

GRATUITIES
Tipping is common practice in North America. We recommend between 10-15% for waiting staff and barmen and smaller amounts for doormen and porters. For your guide and driver, tip at the end of your holiday.

DAY 1 - LONDON TO SAN FRANCISCO
Complimentary door-to-door transfer from your home to Heathrow to board your British Airways flight to San Francisco International Airport, arriving the same day. Check in for two nights at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins hotel.

DAY 2 - SAN FRANCISCO
Half day city tour including the historic cable cars of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Park. Early evening walking tour through Chinatown before dinner at local Chinese restaurant.

DAY 3 - SAN FRANCISCO TO NAPA-SONOMA
Travel to Napa Valley - California’s wine country. Step aboard the lavishly restored Napa Valley Wine Train for a journey through the famous wine villages including lunch and wine tasting. Drive to Sonoma Valley and overnight at The Lodge at Sonoma Resort & Spa.

DAY 4 - NAPA/SONOMA TO YOSEMITE
Drive through California’s Gold Country to Yosemite Valley. See the icons of El Capitan and Half Dome, spectacular monolithic rock formations in the Yosemite National Park. Overnight at Yosemite Lodge at the Falls.

DAY 5 - YOSEMITE TO MONTEREY
Journey to Monterey along the famous coastal landmark of 17 Mile Drive. Check in to the InterContinental The Clement Monterey with private dinner at The Monterey Bay Aquarium and next morning head to San Simeon and Hearst Castle, William Randolph Hearst’s elaborate mansion. Drive to Santa Barbara and overnight at beachfront Fess Parker’s Doubletree Resort.

DAY 7 - SANTA BARBARA TO LOS ANGELES
Visit the Mission Santa Barbara before journeying through Miami to Santa Monica. Visit the J. Paul Getty Museum. Continue to Downtown Los Angeles and entertainment complex L.A. LIVE. Two nights at the JW Marriott Hotel Los Angeles. Tomorrow board mini-coaches to cruise past movie stars’ mansions, see the Hollywood sign, Hollywood Walk of Fame and private tour of the Kodak Theatre, home to the Academy Awards.

DAY 9 - LOS ANGELES TO SCOTTSDALE
Drive across the Mojave Desert to Scottsdale, Arizona. Overnight at Camelback Inn, a JW Marriott Resort & Spa to enjoy the fantastic facilities.

DAY 10 - SCOTTSDALE TO GRAND CANYON TO LAKE POWELL
Head to ‘Red Rock Country’, Sedona. Join an optional jeep excursion before driving to Grand Canyon National Park and overnight at National Park Lodges. Watch the sun set on the canyon walls with private dinner in the Thunderbird Room. The next day after optional flightseeing tour over the Canyon continue through the Painted Desert and Navajo Indian Reservation with its mesas and buttes and arrive at Lake Powell Resort. Enjoy a cruise on Lake Powell. Two nights at Lake Powell Resort. The following day enjoy all the activities on offer.

DAY 13 - LAKE POWELL TO BRYCE/ZION
Travel to Bryce Canyon Lodge and visit Sunset Point. Transfer to Bryce Canyon National Park Lodge or to Zion National Park Lodge (depending on departure date).

DAY 14 - BRYCE/ZION TO LAS VEGAS
If at Bryce Canyon Lodge travel on to the slot canyons and monoliths of Zion National Park. Join a Zion Canyon Shuttle before heading to the bright lights of Las Vegas. Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for the night.

DAY 15 - LAS VEGAS TO LONDON
Transfer to Las Vegas International Airport for your British Airways flight back to Heathrow, where on arrival in the UK you will be transferred back to your door with our complimentary door-to-door service.
