DAY 1
Arrive in Boston and pick up your rental car before making your way to your hotel. Enjoy the following day in the beautiful and historic city of Boston. Walk the Freedom Trail, a pedestrian path marked by red paint that links 16 important colonial and revolutionary historic sights. Stop by the famous 'Cheers' bar for a refreshing drink, before heading to lunch at Quincy Market and soak up the delicious smells of the various market stalls selling tasty dishes and mouthwatering cakes and sweets or if time permits book an optional whale watching cruise. You may also receive a complimentary 90 minute Boston Harbor Historic Sightseeing & Sunset Cruise for up to 2 people (see Kuoni Plus).

DAY 2
Depart north along Massachusetts Bay to the historic town of Salem, noted for its 17th Century witchcraft trials. Further up the coast is the charming fishing village of Gloucester and the famous Fishermen's Memorial Statue. Head north to Kennebunkport and on to Portland. In Portland visit the arts district, Baxter Boulevard and Casco Bay before staying for one night (approx. 104 miles).

DAY 3
Today travel on to Bar Harbour along verdant tree lined roads past shimmering lakes. Explore all this beautiful area has to offer with visits to Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park and Egg Rock Light, a beautiful lighthouse. You can also experience the thrill of rock climbing or kayaking and the area is well know for its shellfish (approx. 159 miles).

DAY 5
Continue on via scenic roads to Waterville where you will stay for one night. Stroll around the Downtown area and browse the shops, spend time relaxing in one of the cafes or grab a bite to eat in one of the local restaurants. Visits to the Waterville Opera House and the Waterville Public Library are a must (approx. 103 miles)!

DAY 6
En route back to Boston, make time to visit Plymouth Rock, the site of the Pilgrims landing in America in 1622 or Plimoth Plantation, a living history museum. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore Boston (approx. 108 miles).

DAY 7
Return your rental car back at Boston airport for your onward journey.
