Walt Disney World’s spectacular water wonderland, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, is set in a beautiful tropical landscape, slip and slide on a water ‘roller coaster’ - Crush ‘n’ Gusher or enjoy the thrills of the ‘nine water slides’ swimming with sharksor ride the giant surf waves.

Disney’s Blizzard  Beach Water  Park is the largest of the water parks at Walt Disney World. At the centre of it all is Mt Gushmore, from here, its downhill all the way, with a choice of white water rafting, flume, tube runs and waterslides and ’icy’ bobsled runs that stay warm and thrillingly fast. Plunge down ‘Summit Plummet’ – one of the tallest, fastest free-fall speed slides! (waterparks are a seasonal operation) or if relaxing is the order of the day, take a dip in the Melt Away Bay Wave Pool.

Florida is warm all year round but light jumpers or jackets are useful during the winter months, especially in the evening. If you are going to be visiting the theme parks then a hat and comfortable shoes are a must. In the Everglades you will want long sleeves and trousers to avoid being bitten. Strong closed toe shoes are also a must.

Tipping is an established and accepted custom in America. For good service, waiters and taxi drivers expect 15-20%, and counter and bar staff 10-15%. Porters can expect from $3-$5 per case, while tour guides can be given the equivalent of £2-£3 per day.
