Getting married in Canada includes…
All Kuoni weddings in Canada include:
• Pre-wedding meeting
• Accompaniment to Banff licence bureau to obtain the marriage licence (except for Lake Louise wedding couples)
• Marriage licence and certificates
• Celebrant’s fees
• Witnesses if required
Legal Requirements
Before you travel, Kuoni needs to see copies of the following:
• Full 10 year British passport
• Original birth certificate
• Original decree absolute (if divorced)
• Original death certificates (if widowed)
• Original adoption certificate (if adopted)
• Original deed poll notice (if changed name)
• Letters of personal details
Other important information
• Kuoni will supply you with a Banff Licence and Registration form for both civil partnerships and weddings, which you must complete and return to Kuoni with your completed weddings form.
• Weddings in Canada are only available from May to October
• Wedding prices are based on weekday wedding ceremonies; weekends available on request
• You must spend one day in resort before your wedding
• You must stay at the resort for at least five days
• Minimum age 18
When to travel
• Eastern Canada has cold winters and warm summers, especially in southern parts. Winters often bring snow, but temperatures are quite low. Spring and autumn are often quite wet.
• Canada’s western provinces have a variable climate. Summer temperatures are warm in the southern areas, and in winter the mountain areas get good snowfall from December onwards. Vancouver has few snowfalls, with a wetter climate throughout autumn and winter.
