Discover the wide-open spaces and dramatic scenery of Eastern Canada by rail. Offering regular schedules and direct rail links to the downtown areas of the key cities and resorts in Eastern Canada, rail makes for an affordable and flexible way of travelling through eastern Canada. Many of our featured hotels are also conveniently located close to the various city stations, making for seemless and hassle free travel.
MEAL PLAN → No meals are included in Economy Class; a choice of meals on Business Class depending on the time of day of your departure (see details above).ACCOMMODATION → Is in a choice of Economy Class or Business Class. All trains are non smoking. GRATUITIES → Tipping is common practice in Canada. We recommend between 10-15% for waiting staff and barmen and smaller amounts for doormen and porters.TRAVEL TIPS → The climate in Eastern Canada can be changeable so don’t forget to pack your waterproof jackets and a warm jacket.NB → All routes are available in reverse.
VIA Rail offers two standards of service Economy Class or
Business Class. Economy Class includes comfortable reclining seats with ample leg room and a trolley service offering light meals, snacks and hot and cold drinks. Business Class* includes pre-assigned seating, the use of VIA 1 Panorama Lounge in selected major cities with complimentary soft drinks and newspapers, a choice of main dishes for lunch and dinner (breakfast available on morning services), wine with your meal and coffee with liqueur (available on evening services only). Meals are served at your seat by train staff.
*Business Class is not available between Toronto and Niagara Falls.

VIA Rail is an excellent way to travel along the central Canadian Corridor, which links the downtown areas of the cities of Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and also links Toronto to mighty Niagara Falls. With comfortable seating, superb service, VIA Rail offers a stress free way of exploring the vibrant and historical cities of Eastern Canada, whilst witnessing beautiful countryside along the way. With the added benefit of daily services and sometimes up to four point to point services a day, this is an easy and economical way of exploring Eastern Canada.

Toronto to Montreal - 5½ hours
Toronto to Niagara Falls - 2 hours
Toronto to Quebec City - 9½ hours
Ottawa to Montreal - 2 hours

Montreal to Quebec City - 3 hours
