In the Baa Atoll, 40 minutes by seaplane from Malé airport.

There is a main pool with swim-up bar and children’s section, pools, Spa and Ayurveda retreat, complimentary non-motorised watersports and snorkelling, PADI dive centre, fitness centre, tennis, Young Adults’ Club with pool table, darts and Playstation, kid’s club, lounge bar, three restaurants, barbecue and in-villa dining.

Accommodation

102 huge villas, each with airconditioning, kingsize bed, television, DVD, telephone, minibar, coffee maker and lavish bathroom.

Beach bungalows have separate living area, outdoor shower and deck with plunge pool and sunbeds.

Beach villas also have outdoor sand floor living/dining pavilion, private lap pool and Maldivian swing.

Water villas have large sun deck with dining area and steps into the lagoon – some also have plunge pool available on request.

Maldives holidays conjure up images of white sands, swaying palm trees and crystal blue waters, creating a picture-perfect holiday bliss. Kuoni’s hand-picked islands offer first-class, luxurious accommodation, spectacular diving and enchanting, dazzling sunsets for romantic memories.

Shopping

If you visit Malé, you’ll see plenty of street merchants offering beautiful Maldivian postage stamps. Those ragged dentures suspended outside gift shops are sharks’ jaws. Attractive T-shirts are stencilled before your eyes, generally with brilliantly coloured tropical fish.

The islanders are expert in carving coconut wood and use it to decorate their houses. Mat-weaving, basket-making and coir rope-making are long-standing crafts. Mats are woven from haa grass. There is some highlydeveloped lacquer work and you may see examples of handloom weaving or jewellery handcrafted in gold and mother of pearl.
