The town itself is quite a modern lively resort centrally located in the heart of the Valais. Endless walks are possible through beautiful mountain scenery and lifts can take you up to the glacier at 10,000 feet for commanding views across the Valais. The famous Par 72 Crans-Sur-Sierre golf course is open May to October, the 18 hole “Severiano Ballesteros” course.
