For the infrastructure and the services they provide, Adelboden and Lenk have been presented with the ‘Families Welcome’ award of excellence. The tourist office provides details of the different organised children events every week, offering the children something a little bit different. The Snowli’s Kindergarten is suitable for all children from 3-5 years and gives the kids an hours snow play. Children from six years upwards are welcome to join the day or week classes organised by the Swiss Snowsports School or private lessons can be prebooked.

Ice-skating, curling, sleigh rides, snow shoe walking, 40km of cleared walking paths, paragliding, swimming pool, horseriding, snow tubing, nordic walking, sledging, skibock, dog sledge rides and even sledging and snow shoe walking by night!

Winter

In Adelboden the après ski is low key but the main street has some good value restaurants and a couple of bars and pubs plus there are some popular snow bars at the end of the slopes. In Lenk bars are an integral part of the social scene and there are a handful of fun, lively places to frequent including the Tipi Bar and Andy's Pub. There are also restaurants outside of the hotels offering traditional fayre.

Not expected as hotel restaurants are legally obliged to include a service charge of around 15% on bills. Even taxis usually have an added charge.
