VENICE SIMPLON-ORIENT-EXPRESS
The distinctive blue and gold Wagons-Lits carriages feature stylish interiors with walnut panelling, Art Deco marquetry and glass friezes. Double cabins are transformed from daytime lounges into uniquely styled bedrooms at night, complete with washbasin, towels and toiletries. Bedecked with dark wood and gleaming brass, the stylish Bar Car is ideal for aperitifs whilst three plush dining cars offer white-glove service.

DAY 1 - LONDON TO PARIS AND BOARD THE VENICE SIMPLON-ORIENT-EXPRESS
You will be welcomed aboard the classic British Pullman train by smart uniformed staff at London Victoria station to commence your journey with a departure to Folkestone. Described as 'Palaces on Wheels', the British Pullman's 11 beautifully restored vintage carriages take passengers on a journey back in time to the stylish 1920’s and the golden age of travel. Each carriage has been individually named and boasts its own unique decor and history. With illustrious former passengers including the British royal family, world dignitaries and film stars, contemporary passengers can enjoy the sophisticated style, indulgence and exemplary service for which this world-famous train is renowned.

Relax over a three-course lunch before transferring by coach to board the Eurotunnel shuttle for the short crossing to France and on to Calais Ville, where the wonderful Wagon-Lits Carriages of the continental train await you. You will be shown to your comfortable private cabin where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful French countryside as you head towards Paris Gare de l’Est.

It is time to dress to impress for dinner which is served in beautiful restaurant cars. The delicious four-course dinners are prepared by skilled French chefs and served on fine china. Enjoy relaxing music from the resident pianist over a nightcap before retiring to your inviting cabin, which has been transformed into a bedroom by your dedicated steward who is available 24 hours a day and can be called by a personal bell.

DAY 2 - SWITZERLAND TO VENICE ABOARD THE VENICE SIMPLON-ORIENT-EXPRESS
By morning you will have crossed the border into Switzerland and you will awaken to breathtaking alpine scenery which provides the perfect backdrop to accompany the delicious continental breakfast which is served in your cabin. Speed through the lovely Austrian countryside and enjoy a magnificent lunch. You may choose to mingle with other passengers over drinks in the stylish Bar Car as you cross into Italy later in the day, or simply drink in the magnificent scenery as the train traverses the mighty Italian Dolomites. Alternatively you may wish to peruse the exclusive boutique for the perfect souvenir such as hand-blown French crystal, silk scarves and gold-plated cuff links.

The train will make a very brief stop at the vibrant riverside city of Verona. On your journey to Venice you will be served with a wonderful afternoon tea as you travel through the beautiful Bremmer Pass at the border of Italy and Austria before arriving in Venice early evening to spend two nights in a Premium deluxe room at the five star Danieli Hotel.

DAY 4 - VENICE TO LONDON
After breakfast take your private transfer to Venice for your British Airways flight back to London Gatwick, arriving the same day.

FLORENCE EXTENSION
DAY 4 - VENICE TO FLORENCE
Travel by rail to the beautiful city of Florence (approx. 2 hours), known as the 'cradle of the Renaissance' due to its spectacular architecture and fantastic art. Upon arrival transfer to a Deluxe room at sumptuous five star Il Salviatino for three nights.
DAY 5 - FLORENCE
Enjoy two full days to explore this fascinating city which is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Tuscan countryside on the banks of River Arno. Roam Florence's network of medieval streets, marvelling at ornate cathedrals, busy piazzas and magnificent palazzos.
DAY 7 - FLORENCE TO LONDON
Private transfer to Florence airport for your British Airways flight back to Gatwick, arriving the same day.
