DAY 1 - LONDON TO VENICE Fly British Airways from Gatwick to Venice. On arrival transfer to the Cavalletto & Doge hotel for two nights. Enjoy strolling along the narrow cobbled alleys and up on the graceful Rialto Bridge, which spans the snaking Grand Canal and head to St Mark’s Square. Explore the delights of the Venetian Lagoon.
DAY 3 - VENICE TO VERONATravel by rail to Verona and spend two nights at the Grand Hotel. You can stroll anywhere from the hotel's central location. Visit the famous Roman arena, known to be the second Coliseum of Italy, lean from the famous balcony where Romeo and Juliet romanced, pick a restaurant in Piazza delle Erbe and treat yourself to a Venetian candlelit dinner.
DAY 5 - VERONA TO SIRMIONEContinue by rail to Lake Garda for a three night stay at the Continental Hotel. The lively and picturesque peninsula of Sirmione stretches out from the southern shore of the lake. Explore the romantic old town which is accessible via the bridge of the 13th Century Scaligeri castle. Whilst on Lake Garda we recommend a visit to Gardone Riviera, Malcesine, Riva and the much celebrated Valpollicella vineyards.
DAY 8 - SIRMIONE TO LONDONReturn to Verona and fly British Airways to Gatwick.NB - This is a suggested itinerary and no sightseeing is included. Please see our selection of experiences to add and don't forget that we can tailor make your holiday for you.
