DAY 1 - LONDON TO VENICE
Fly British Airways from Gatwick to Venice airport and transfer to the Cavalletto & Doge Orseolo for two nights. Venice is one of the world's few truly unique cities, a perfect mosaic of islands linked by an intricate network of canals. Explore its grand churches and magnificent palaces, glide through narrow canal streets on a gondola and don't miss a visit to the renaissance-style St Mark’s Square, declared by Napoleon to be 'the finest drawing room in Europe'.
DAY 3 - VENICE TO SIRMIONEAfter breakfast, travel by rail (approx. 1½ hours) to the beautiful peninsula of Sirmione where you will spend five nights at the Continental which enjoys a peaceful spot overlooking Lake Garda's west shore. Wander into the charming town to explore the winding lanes which are lined with shops, cafés and restaurants. Exploration of this stunning historic region rewards visitors with some impressive Roman ruins, therapeutic thermal springs, medieval streets and the fairytale castle of Rocca Scaligera.
DAY 8 - SIRMIONE TO LONDONTransfer to Verona by rail (approx. 30 minutes) for your return British Airways flight to Gatwick.NB - This is a suggested itinerary and no sightseeing is included.
