DAY 1 - LONDON TO SIENAFly British Airways from Gatwick to Pisa. Collect your Avis car and drive to Siena (approx. 2 hours). Stay three nights at the NH Excelsior which is ideally located for exploration of historic Siena. Located in the heart of Tuscany and built on three hills surrounded by well preserved walls, Siena is one of Italy’s best preserved medieval towns and is filled with fine examples of Gothic architecture. Sample world famous Tuscan wines at nearby vineyards and visit the idyllic countryside that surrounds the city.
DAY 4 - SIENA TO VIAREGGIO Travel to the remarkable Tuscan Riviera resort of Viareggio (approx. 2 hours). Spend four nights at the Hotel Plaza de Russie which is positioned directly on the charming seafront promenade. Viareggio is the Riviera's largest town, a popular seaside resort with long sandy beaches, verdant pine forests, stunning architecture and a traditional harbour. Explore the colourful fishing villages that line the coast or hop across the water to Elba Island which boasts over 70 beaches, towering sea cliffs and the largest marine park in Europe.DAY 8 - VIAREGGIO TO LONDON Drive to Pisa airport (approx. 30 minutes) and fly British Airways to Gatwick.
