The Tilt Train offers comfortable seating in a 2x1 configuration with each seat enjoying its own personal entertainment system, power point, blankets and pillows as well as extensive legroom and recline. There are shared shower facilities and food and refreshments are available for purchase from the trolley service as well as the Galley car.

DAY 1
Departing from Brisbane’s Roma Street station at 6.25pm, the Tilt Train travels north out of the city, accelerating steadily across the landscape. Barely discernable, the advanced tilting technology allows the train to make good progress, ensuring a gentle ride as night draws in and you slumber in your spacious seat while enjoying the in-train entertainment.

DAY 2
The Tropic of Capricorn passes in the early hours and a new day reveals a tropical landscape before you. Travelling north, the country becomes ever greener, passing lush fields of fruits and produce. A memorable day and captivating journey concludes as you roll into Cairns in the early evening.

NB - This journey also operates in reverse.

Passengers for the Whitsunday Islands leave the train at Proserpine for coach connections to Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour. Passengers for Fraser Island leave the train at Mayborough for coach connections to Hervey Bay.
