NB Whilst the walking in the tour is not too strenuous, you will be walking at altitude. We would not recommend this tour for those with walking, blood pressure or breathing difficulties. Driving times are approximate. Local conditions may necessitate slight variations to the timings of this tour itinerary.

DAY 1 LONDON TO KATHMANDU
Depart from Heathrow on your Jet Airways overnight flight via Delhi to Kathmandu arriving the following day.

DAY 2 KATHMANDU
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the Shangri La Kathmandu for a two night stay. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 3 KATHMANDU
Enjoy a half day tour of the city including Durbar Square and the Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the world’s oldest Buddhist stupas. In the afternoon join a tour exploring the royal city of Patan the centre of both Nepal's Buddhist and Hindu cultures. Witness resplendent temples, monasteries and religious art.

DAY 4 KATHMANDU TO DHULIKHEL
A morning visit to Bhaktapur, an ancient town that retains much of its medieval charm. Discover the ancient city gateway, the Royal Residential Quarter of Bhupatindra Malla and the famous five-storey temple of Nyatapola. Alternatively, there is also an optional morning flight over Mount Everest available, subject to weather conditions. Continue on to Dhulikhel for an overnight stay at the Dhulikhel Mountain Resort.

DAY 5 DHULIKHEL TO NAGARKOT
A leisurely day of walking through the Himalayan countryside begins with a stroll to the summit of the Buddhist pilgrimage site of Namo Buddha. Descend down to Panauti and later drive to Nagarkot for one night at the Club Himalaya Resort.

DAY 6 NAGARKOT TO POKHARA
Watch the sunrise over the Himalayas then make the scenic journey to Pokhara via Kathmandu. Arrive at the
Shangri-La Village for two nights.

DAY 7 POKHARA
Pokhara lies within a beautiful valley and is situated at a height of 2,950 feet. Start with a morning city tour of Pokhara visiting the local market, Bindebasini Temple, Seti Gorge, Phewa Lake, Devi’s Fall and Gupteswore Cave. In the afternoon enjoy a short boat ride on Phewa Lake.

DAY 8 POKHARA BEGNAS LAKE
Transfer by road to Begnas bazaar and onwards via boat (25 minutes) to Begnas Lake Resort, from here you will join a guided walk to Begnaskot (5-6 hours walking). Hike along the Sundari Danda Ridge as the path steadily ascends. Take a break at the small Bahan village of Pauraake Danda and enjoy breathtaking views of Rupa and Begnas lakes. Witness terraced rice fields and houses made out of mud and pass through meadows and marvel at the views of the mighty Himalayan peaks of Annapurna II Annapurna III and Macchapuchare (weather permitting). After lunch you will make the final push to the military look out of Begnaskote. What goes up must come down so after witnessing the views return to the lake and take the boat back to the
Begnas Lake Resort where you will spend one night.

DAY 9 BEGNAS LAKE TO KATHMANDU
After a leisurely breakfast, take a boat transfer back to Begnas Bazaar followed by a road transfer to Pokhara airport for your 30 minute flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu return to the Shangri La Kathmandu for your final night in Nepal.

DAY 10 KATHMANDU TO LONDON
Transfer to the airport for your morning flight to Heathrow via Delhi with Jet Airways, arriving later the same day.

CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK

Experience Chitwan, or 'Heart of the Jungle' - Nepal's premier National Park and World Heritage Site.

DAY 9 Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan (approx. 112 miles, 5 hours) and spend two nights at the Safari Narayani Resort. An elephant ride, bird watching, jungles walks, game drives and canoeing are all included.

DAY 11 Drive back to Kathmandu for a final overnight stay at the Shangri La (130 miles approx. 6 hours).

DAY 12 Morning flight to Heathrow via Delhi with Jet Airways, arriving later the same day.
