Set on the banks of the Ramganga River and covering 509 square miles this park is comprised of lush forest, grassland, ravines, plateaus and hills that shelter diverse wildlife including the elephant, tiger, leopard, Himalayan black bear and an incredible 580 species of bird.
Bandhavgarh National Park is a smaller park at 241 square miles but it claims to have the highest density of tigers in India. Set in Central India's Satpura Hills this enchanting reserve is also home to the leopard, deer, dhole (Indian wild dog) and crested serpent eagle.
