Destination introduction

This stunning park encompasses 754 square miles of bamboo forests, meadows and ravines that provide shelter to a range of wonderful wildlife including the tiger, leopard and sloth bear.

Corbett National Park became India's first national park in 1936 and is named after the hunter turned conservationist Jim Corbett. Set on the banks of the Ramganga River and covering 509 square miles this park is comprised of lush forest, grassland, ravines, plateaus and hills that shelter diverse wildlife including the elephant, tiger, leopard, Himalayan black bear and an incredible 580 species of bird.
Bandhavgarh National Park is a smaller park at 241 square miles but it claims to have the highest density of tigers in India. Set in Central India's Satpura Hills this enchanting reserve is also home to the leopard, deer, dhole (Indian wild dog) and crested serpent eagle.
