Facilities

Fine food and drink are very much a part of the Glenburn experience and much of the produce used is grown in the hotel’s own gardens. Specialities include family recipes such as tea-leaf pakoras, chocolate brownies, Tibetan momos and Burmese khow suey, as well as home-baked bread, marmalade and a collection of signature cakes and cookies. Try the Glenburn tea, iced tea, South Indian filter coffee or nimboo pani (fresh homemade lemonade). Breakfast and lunch are served in the bright Morning Room or on a terrace overlooking the mountains; dinner is a usually a sophisticated and stimulating sit-down meal in the candle-lit intimacy of The Dining Room, along with the hosts and any other guests in residence. With hiking, river rafting, the Glenburn Tea Experience and cookery classes on offer, there’s plenty to fill the days.
