Empty roads, no traffic, nor a crowd. That is Bhutan for you. For lovers of nature, it is definitely a hard to resist destination. Close on it's heels is Nepal. If you like adventure sports, this is the place to visit, and of course trekking, Nepal has some of the most spectacular trekking routes on the planet."

Bhutan Snapshot

Rainbow colours flash past as you soak up the sights and sounds of a traditional Bhutanese festival. A sense of celebration deeply ingrained in the local culture as the once peaceful courtyards come to life with music, dancing, chanting and colour. The sense of privilege that you feel is overwhelming, as an outsider looking in on the most spiritual and holy of occasions.

Discover this unspoilt land on a Bhutan tour

Hidden in the eastern Himalayas, the remote kingdom of Bhutan is one of the world's happiest countries and the only one to measure its Gross National Happiness. Off limits to tourists until 1974, today intrepid travellers can bask in the nation’s beautiful mountain scenery and explore its forts, monasteries and markets.

Living in harmony with their beautiful landscape, the Bhutanese believe the natural environment is home to their most revered Gods and spirits and the source of all life. This Buddhist nation takes pride in its unique culture with its festivals, monasteries, carved wooden houses and intricate crafts.

To protect its pristine environment, only a limited amount of lucky individuals are allowed to visit the glorious ‘Land of the Thunder Dragon’ each year. Bhutan holidays will introduce you to a magical destination of cultural and historical integrity, tales of legendary heroism and spectacular natural beauty.
