A complete away-from-it-all experience, this beautiful and intimate retreat sits at the edge of a secluded lagoon on Pemba Island. Barefoot luxury and Crusoe-style tranquillity are enhanced with superb service in this rustic corner of peace.

Accommodation

The 18 rooms are canvas-walled set on hardwood decks, with ceiling fan, minibar, en suite bathroom and a terrace with ocean views.
Hillside rooms are scattered amongst the trees.
Beachfront rooms are set on the water’s edge, while beautiful and intimate Suites have a sitting area, larger deck area and private plunge pool.
More spacious Superior suites feature an open plan lounge, large deck with plunge pool and eating area. Both Suites and Superior suites also feature room attendant service between 8am-6pm.

Facilities

The perfect extension to a safari or simply a peaceful and secluded beach retreat, the lodge has a swimming pool, the new Fundu Fusion Spa with a range of revitalizing treatments, a small boutique, three bars and a restaurant built on the shoreline. Watersports and diving are available from the PADI centre (payable locally), there is a deep sea fishing centre, and a range of excursions can be arranged (extra cost).

Relaxation and therapeutic treatments are based on traditional Ayurvedic and authentic Balinese healing rituals, as well as a variety of other Asian and Western techniques, performed by experienced Balinese therapists. Fundu Fusion Oils and Body Scrubs are prepared with a combination of Herbs, Spices and Aromatic Plants grown on the spice islands of Pemba & Zanzibar.
