Guide

Elewana Sky Safari is escorted by English speaking guides/rangers. Extensions are not escorted but assistance is provided by our local representatives.

DAY 1 - LONDON to ARUSHA
Kenya Airways overnight flight arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport the next day.

DAY 2 - ARUSHA
Transfer to The Arusha Coffee Lodge for the night, experiencing luxurious accommodation cradled in endless acres of Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation.     

DAY 3 - ARUSHA to TARANGIRE
After breakfast tour the Coffee Estate and lunch al fresco. Afternoon flight in a private plane, flying Executive Club Class in a Cessna Grand Caravan from Arusha to Kuro airstrip in Tarangire National Park. A breathtaking afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park follows. Known for its huge herds of elephant - sometimes up to 300 - look out for them scratching the dry river bed for underground streams. Stay 2 nights at the sumptuous Tarangire Treetops in a Tree House, perched up in the Baobab and Marula trees and offering awe-inspiring views.

DAY 4 - TARANGIRE
An exhilarating morning game drive whilst temperatures are cool makes the

ideal time to spot big game returning from a night of hunting. Spend the afternoon on a game walk and visit an authentic Maasai Village. Drive to Sunset Hill for sundowners, soaking up a beautiful sunset and the rising stars over the Tarangire plains. Often there is the chance to spot giraffe and hyena. A night game drive will follow.

DAY 5 - TARANGIRE to NGORONGORO
Morning game drive through Tarangire National Park. Picnic lunch before flying to Manyara and transferring to The Manor at Ngorongoro, a stately home in the Tanzanian highlands, staying for two nights. Experience generous East African hospitality combined with old world Afro-European architecture, visit an authentic African market in the township of Karatu and take afternoon tea at The Manor.

DAY 6 - NGORONGORO

Full day exploration of the world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage site of the Ngorongoro Crater. The Crater is 16000 meters wide and the largest, unflooded, intact volcanic caldera in the world. From its rim it drops 600 meters to the crater floor, which is home to large animals including black rhino, hippopotamus, wildebeest, zebra and Thompson’s gazelle. The densest population of lion also reside here. On the crater rim look out for elephant and leopard.

DAY 7 - NGORONGORO to SERENGETI
Perhaps visit Lake Manyara National Park or stay at the Lodge for horse back riding, cycling or a spa treatment. After lunch transfer to the airstrip for your onward flight to Serengeti. Your afternoon game drive will take you to the decade
nt Serenget Migration Camp in time for sundowners and a stay of two nights in a luxurious safari tent. This vast and rugged landscape is synonymous with high action game viewing and overlooks the Grumeti River with its resident hippos.

DAY 8 - SERENGETI
Full day exploring the Serengeti, known by The Maasai as ‘Siringitu’ – the place where the land runs on forever. This is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular park, home to the world’s largest assortment of wildlife. Predator versus prey governs this land and you will have a chance to spot lion, leopard, cheetah, gazelle, zebra and much more.

DAY 9 - SERENGETI to LONDON
After breakfast partake in a guided game walk and explore the banks of the Grumeti River, an important crossing of the annual migration and home to more unusual species such as the black and white Colobus monkey. Lunch and a game drive enroute to the airstrip for your onward flight to Arusha and transfer to the Arusha Coffee Lodge and a day room where you can freshen up before transferring to Kilimanjaro international Airport for your onward flight to Heathrow.

ZANZIBAR

Relax afterwards on a picture perfect stretch of beach in northern Zanzibar, where watersports, fresh seafood and island life make your trip complete.

DAY 9  - ARUSHA to ZANZIBAR
•   After returning to Arusha, fly Zanair to Zanzibar for three nights on an all inclusive basis at the chic and secluded
Kilindi in a Pavilion room.


DAY 12 - ZANZIBAR to LONDON

•   Kenya Airways overnight flight to Heathrow via Nairobi.
