MEAL PLAN
• Prices include breakfast, lunch and dinner on safari; breakfast in Arusha and lunch on last day. Breakfast and dinner is included on the Zanzibar extension.

• 3 and 4 star safari lodges are used. On occasion the itinerary may operate in a different order, or use different lodges according to availability and road conditions.

• Pack a mixture of warm and light clothing in soft bags weighing maximum 15kg, plus sunglasses, camera and insect repellent.

DAY 1 - LONDON to ARUSHA
Kenya Airways overnight flight from Heathrow to Kilimanjaro via Nairobi. On arrival transfer to the Arusha Hotel for one night.

DAY 3 - ARUSHA to TARANGIRE
Morning tour of Arusha National Park visiting Ngurudoto Crater and the Momella lakes, a group of shallow alkaline lakes that are home to many water birds including flamingos, Egyptian geese and fowls. Lunch before departing for Tarangire. Game drive en route to the Tarangire Sopa Lodge for a two night stay (approx. 99 miles).

DAY 4 - TARANGIRE
Morning and afternoon game drives in beautiful Tarangire National Park, a highly dense bush land dominated by the incredible valley of the Tarangire River and attracting a good concentration of wildlife. Herds of elephant are likely to be encountered as are vividly coloured birds who love the dry savannah.

DAY 5 - TARANGIRE to NGORONGORO CRATER
En route to Ngorongoro Crater enjoy a visit to Gibbs Farm a historic, organic coffee growing plantation, and a hike to local waterfalls. Continue to the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, perched on the northern crater rim with spectacular vistas and sunsets. You will spend the next two nights here (approx. 155 miles).

DAY 6 - NGORONGORO CRATER
Enjoy a day in and around the Crater, the largest intact crater in the world with forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants and open savannah where lions roam. Also visit a Maasai village.

DAY 7 - NGORONGORO CRATER to SERENGETI
Descend to the Serengeti plains and enter the National Park viewing game en route. Lunch at the Serengeti Serena Lodge and an afternoon game drive and two nights at Serena Lodge or Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp. (approx. 124 miles).

DAY 8 - SERENGETI → Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives viewing an amazing amount of wildlife from this central location.

DAY 9 - SERENGETI
Drive through the Western Corridor of the Serengeti to Speke Bay Lodge. After lunch enjoy a guided walk and bird watch. Overnight Speke Bay Lodge (approx. 124 miles).

DAY 10 - SERENGETI
Take a traditional canoe ride this morning along the shore bank to a nearby village. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure or bird watch along the lake shore.

DAY 11 - SERENGETI to LAKE VICTORIA
Drive back into the Serengeti, viewing wildlife with picnic lunch en route to the Serengeti Sopa Lodge, your base for the next two nights (approx. 155 miles).

DAY 12 - LAKE VICTORIA
Morning and afternoon game drives in the eastern side of the Serengeti National Park. Optional Balloon Safari today.

DAY 13 - LAKE VICTORIA to LAKE MANYARA
Drive to the famous archaeological site of Olduvai Gorge and the Cradle of Mankind before continuing to Lake Manyara and the Serena Lodge (approx. 155 miles). Picnic lunch en route.

DAY 14 - LAKE MANYARA
Morning game drive in the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park around the lakeshore. Lunch at the Manyara Serena Lodge. In the afternoon visit a local village.

DAY 15 - LAKE MANYARA to LONDON
Return to Arusha for lunch then to Kilimanjaro and your Kenya Airways overnight flight to Heathrow via Nairobi.
