Mara Bushtops

Raised above the plains for spectacular views, and combining the tranquillity of a supremely luxurious camp with the adventure of its location, Mara Bushtops is one of the finest recent additions to the Mara and is exclusive to Kuoni clients in the UK.

Facilities for relaxation and socialising include a swimming pool and sundeck, a library, lounge and bar, shop, Wi-Fi, a dining room with veranda and camp fire area overlooking the watering hole. All dining is à la carte and there is also an underground wine cellar with a fine selection of wines from all over the world.

Game drives are included and are twice daily in open 4x4s with an experienced ranger and a local Maasai spotter. There are also night drives, birdwatching, balloon safaris, bush walks and picnics available and with a salt lick also at the camp water hole, a variety of animals visit day and night.

Accommodation

The 12 tents (100m²) are amongst the biggest in East Africa and each has been thoughtfully located to maximise exclusivity and privacy. A Family Tent offers total privacy and sleeps up to six people.

Nestled on a hill each tent has an evocative yet contemporary African style with large, comfortable beds, spring fed hot and cold water, indoor and outdoor showers and an expansive wooden deck with commanding views, a romantic sunken hot tub and a telescope with which to view the game on the plains below.

Restaurants

The camp dining room enjoys a veranda overlooking the watering hole which also features a natural salt lick that attracts an abundance of different game animals and birdlife. Dining is also available amongst the vintages of the Wine Cellar.

No children under seven. Mara Bushtops is also available as part of the Mara Air Safari and can be combined with its sister camp, Serengeti Bushtops in Tanzania. This ultimate safari experience spends three nights in each camp. From Mara Bushtops fly to Migori airstrip, transferring to the Isabenia Border and then enjoying a scenic four to five hour drive through fascinating bush country to Serengeti Bushtops. Or opt to fly from Tarime Airstrip to Kogatende Airstrip (1 hour) and on to Serengeti Bushtops (extra cost - recommended for those preferring a shorter journey or with children). You can also choose to extend your time in Kenya with a beach stay at the beautiful Msambweni Beach House & Private Villas.
