DAY 1 - LONDON TO NAIROBI
Kenya Airways overnight flight from Heathrow to Nairobi.

DAY 2 - NAIROBI
On arrival transfer to the Southern Sun Mayfair Nairobi (formerly The Holiday Inn) for breakfast, check-in and a morning excursion to the Nairobi Animal Orphanage – a refuge and rehabilitation centre for abandoned and injured animals. Follow with an exciting visit to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Daphne has spent more than four decades raising orphaned wildlife in Kenya and is recognised as a hands-on authority on elephant behaviour. She was the first person to successfully hand rear newborn fully milk dependent African elephant orphans. Continue on to the Giraffe Centre where the highly endangered Rothschild giraffe lives. An elevated viewing and feeding platform makes this a wonderful tour for children. Rest of the afternoon is at leisure and overnight at the hotel. Optional dinner at Carnivore restaurant on request (extra cost).

DAY 3 - NAIROBI TO LAKE NAIVASHA
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive and then on to Lake Nakuru Lodge for lunch. An adventurous afternoon game drive follows to explore more of the park. The shores around the Lake are usually lined with flamingo, making the waters shimmer in a beautiful mass of pink! The park is also home to the endangered Rothschild Giraffe and is a designated rhino sanctuary with its main attraction being both the Black and the White Rhino. Waterbuck, impala, buffalo, warthog and a variety of birdlife also reside here. Later in the evening drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the Great Rift Valley Lodge for overnight.

DAY 4 - LAKE NAIVASH TO MAASAI MARA
After breakfast, embark on a one hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha before driving to the Maasai Mara and Keekorok Lodge for two nights. After lunch is the chance to relax by the swimming pool before an afternoon game drive. Maasai Mara is a magnificent game-rich landscape bisected by the Mara River and probably has the highest density of game to be seen. The reserve is home to all the Big Five, and you may also spot eland, ostrich and cheetah, whilst the rivers are home to hippo and crocodile.

DAY 5 - MAASAI MARA
Set off for a very early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara – the ideal time to see game as temperatures are cooler and hopefully lion, cheetah and leopard will be roaming the vast grasslands in search of prey. For children it is a great opportunity to learn about animal behaviour. Later that morning children can join the arts and craft bead and leather workshops. Lunch is at the lodge before an afternoon game drive. Return to Keekorok Lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 - MAASAI MARA TO LONDON
After breakfast transfer to Nairobi for lunch at Pampa Grill restaurant before heading to the airport for your Kenya Airways overnight flight back to Heathrow arriving the next day. Alternatively, choose to extend your stay in Kenya and enjoy one last morning game drive before transferring to Mombasa for a relaxing beach stay.

KENYA COAST FROM

DAY 6 - Flight to Ukunda via Mombasa and transfer to Southern Palms Beach Resort for three nights of beach relaxation staying in a Standard room.

DAY 9 - Kenya Airways overnight flight to Heathrow via Nairobi.
