MEAL PLAN

Price includes breakfast in Naibori; breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Maasai Mara and Lake Elmenteita. Breakfast and dinner included on the Kenya Coast extension and breakfast in Zanzibar.

DAY 1 - LONDON TO NAIROBI

Kenya Airways overnight flight from Heathrow to Nairobi, arriving the following day. 

DAY 2 - NAIROBI

On arrival, transfer to the Nairobi Serena for one night in a Standard room.

DAY 3 - NAIROBI TO MAASAI MARA

Board your 4x4 vehicle and depart Nairobi on a drive to the Maasai Mara, one of the most exciting reserves in Africa with an exceptional population of big cats and plains game. Arrive at the Mara Serena Lodge – perched high on central Mara hill with wonderful views and in perfect harmony with the natural surroundings – in time for lunch and relaxation by the pool. In the late afternoon, head out for a spectacular game drive in the Mara for a chance to see the Big Five who reside here. Perhaps spot lions lazing in the shade, or see elephant and zebra roaming towards a waterhole. Return to the lodge to freshen up for dinner. Spend two nights at the Mara Serena Lodge.

DAY 4 - MAASAI MARA

A full day of game viewing in the beautiful open savannahs of the Maasai Mara awaits you today. In between your game drives you will have time at leisure to relax by the pool at the lodge. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 - MAASAI MARA TO LAKE ELEMENTAITA

After breakfast, journey to Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp in time for lunch. This luxury new camp lies on the shores of the flamingo and pelican fringed lake within the Soysambu Conservancy – a beautiful location. The conservancy is a sanctuary home to rare wildlife including abundant bird species and is East Africa’s only breeding ground for the Great White Pelican. Enjoy time at leisure before dinner. Spend two nights at Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp. Optional activities here include bush walks with an experienced tracker-guide and thrilling night drives in the conservancy, as well as safari sundowners and bush dining under the stars (all at extra cost).

DAY 6 - LAKE ELEMENTAITA

This morning, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park in the middle of the Great Rift Valley – a geological phenomenon visible from the moon. Formed in 1968 to protect the lesser flamingo that breed and nest at the edge of the soda lake, Lake Nakuru National Park is home to over 400 species of birds and is also one of the few remaining places to see the endangered white rhino. Embark on a game drive in the park, then enjoy lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. A second game drive in the park follows this afternoon, perhaps seeking out the other wildlife that reside here, including lion, leopard, gazelle and eland. In the evening, return to camp in time for dinner.

DAY 7 - LAKE ELEMENTAITA TO NAIROBI TO LONDON

After breakfast drive back to Nairobi, arriving in time to either transfer to the airport for your Kenya Airways overnight flight to Heathrow or transfer to your coastal hotel (see extensions below).

KENYA COAST
DAY 9 → Fly from Nairobi to Mombasa and on arrival transfer to the four star Serena Beach Hotel & Spa for three nights in a Garden room.

DAY 12 → Kenya Airways overnight flight via Nairobi to Heathrow, arriving the following day.

ZANZIBAR
DAY 9 → Stay at the Nairobi Serena for one night in a Standard room.

DAY 10 → Kenya Airways flight to Zanzibar for three nights at the Serena Inn in a Standard room.

DAY 13 → Overnight Kenya Airways flight to Heathrow via Nairobi.
