Highlights

Ras Mohammed
The southernmost tip of the Sinai Peninsula is a national park where you can snorkel or scuba dive among over 1,000 species of fish, coral and marine fossils dating back up to 20 million years. There are also cliff-top observation decks with telescopes for spectacular views, and the area attracts adorable turtles.

Marine life
The Red Sea is teeming with vibrant marine life – butterfly, grouper and napoleon fish, rainbow wrasse, moray eels, turtles and black-tip sharks. You can see these stunning creatures up close on a dive or at the local aquarium. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a pod of wild dolphins off the coast. And watch out for the deadly stone fish!

Bird-watching
The Red Sea coast is a migration route for many birds flocking through from Europe. From August to December, keep your eyes peeled for raptors, cranes and white storks.

Beaches

Sharm el Sheikh and Red Sea resorts line a beautiful coast edging the warm waters of the Red Sea, which shrouds fantastic coral reefs and sunken shipwrecks.
