Queenstown holidays

Departures: Daily from Queenstown. On boarding the coach in Queenstown visitors are treated to a relaxing trip along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and through the rolling countryside to Pearl Harbour, Manapouri. They then board a Real Journeys vessel and cruise across picturesque Lake Manapouri to West Arm before travelling by coach through dense rainforest across Wilmot Pass. There are opportunities along the way to examine the plant life and view the spectacular scenery. Once at Deep Cove visitors board the catamaran for a 3 hour cruise of Doubtful Sound. Onboard there is excellent viewing of waterfalls, rainforest and mountains. Of particular interest are fur seals and bottlenose dolphins as well as crested penguins. On the return journey the vessel's engines are switched off and visitors are treated to the 'Sound of Silence'. Visitors also have the opportunity to visit the Manapouri Underground Power Station by coach then head back to Queenstown. Lunch is not included.

On reaching Milford Sound visitors board a luxury Real Journeys vessel for a cruise the full lengh of Milford Sound. The vessel provides excellent viewing opportunities and plenty of time is available to enjoy waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife. A comprehensive commentary is presented throughout the cruise and complimentary tea and coffee are available. Lunch is not included.

The vessel provides excellent viewing opportunities and plenty of time is available to enjoy waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife. A comprehensive commentary is presented throughout the cruise. Delicious lunch options and complimentary tea and coffee are available onboard the vessel. Following the cruise passengers are transferred to Milford Airport by coach. Return to Queenstown is by plane. During the sightseeing flight from Milford Sound visitors are provided with a panoramic view of the fiord, mountains, glaciers, rivers, lakes and lush rainforest. On arrival at Queenstown transfers are provided to accommodation.

Departures: Daily from Queenstown 10.00 (20Oct-20Apr), 12.00 (01Sep-19Oct and 21Apr-31May). Returns: Daily 13.30 (20Oct-20Apr), 15.30 (01Sep-19Oct and 21Apr-31May). Return scenic cruise Queenstown to Walter Peak High Country Farm on board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw. Following a 40 minute outward voyage passengers disembark at Walter Peak for BBQ on the terrace in front of the Colonel's Homestead overlooking Lake Wakatipu. Visitors may wander around the farm animals and join in the farmyard walking tour which includes dog handling and sheep shearing demonstrations and there is plenty of opportunity to relax in the magnificent lakeside gardens.

Departures Daily from Queenstown . Return scenic cruise Queenstown to Walter Peak High Country Farm on board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw. During the cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak guests may purchase pre-dinner drinks and listen to the pianist onboard. On disembarking at Walter Peak guests are escorted through the lakeside gardens to the charming Colonel's Homestead where they are seated amidst elegant surroundings. The carvery dinner features New Zealand specialities of succulent meats, fresh seafood, salads and vegetables. An excellent range of wine and other beverages are available to purchase. After the meal guests have the option of an entertaining brief farm show or of relaxing in the bar before returning onboard the TSS Earnslaw to Queenstown.
