An ode to both the Gold Rush era and its waterfront location, The Argonaut crushes on-trend nautical elegance without sacrificing history and is our default choice for San Fran.
Taking design cues from its 1907 Haslett Warehouse building, The Argonaut, sitting at the quiet end of Fisherman’s Wharf, is a satisfying blend of original brick walls, Douglas Fir beams, wide plank floors and ship wheels on the walls. Open the front door and you can almost see boats of crab bobbing on the water. Bellmen are dressed in nautical style, steamer ship style chairs furnish the living room and the courtyard is put to stunning use with hypnotic fire pits, a selection of games and a menu of micro-brew beers and handcrafted cocktails. The Blue Mermaid restaurant employs a similar vibe with a rough-hewn timber and thick braided rope design and cracking views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Located adjacent to the Argonaut Hotel on Fisherman's Wharf, the Blue Mermaid is a classic San Francisco seafood restaurant, famed for its homemade chowder.

LED lighting and Green Certified cleaning products are used, you'll find large pump bottles in the bathrooms and water-saving systems have been installed. Food served at Blue Mermaid is in accordance with the Monterey Bay Aquarium sustainable fisheries guidelines.
