Grand Hotel Cocumella
A beautifully restored 16th-century monastery
Grand Hotel Cocumella is a refined retreat with spectacular views over the Gulf of Sorrento.

Rooms
There are just 46 rooms and suites of varying shapes and sizes, individually decorated with antiques, tiled or wooden floors, and in a palette of white, cream and soft pastels. The Classic Rooms are airy and welcoming, with original features in many. In some of the Deluxe Rooms, there are majolica tiles on the floor. The Suites have a small lounge area and some also benefit from a private terrace. For the ultimate indulgence, book a Sea View Suite with plenty of space inside and out.

It’s easy to find your own made-to-measure version of the leisured existence of those well-heeled visitors of the past. It might be long, lazy dinners on terraces lit by fireflies as well as candles at Scintilla or simple yet delicious lunches made with the freshest of produce from the hotel’s organic vegetable garden at L'Agrumeto. For flavours with a twist, head to Coku where Japanese and Mediterranean flavours are combined.
Scintilla The charming setting of Scintilla serves a well-balanced selection of Mediterranean and local specialities and international dishes featuring ingredients from the hotel’s organic garden.
L'Agrumeto Next to the pool and shaded by orange trees, L’Agrumeto – the name means ‘citrus grove’ – is a laidback venue for a drink and a snack or a casual lunch of wood-oven baked pizza, pasta, salad or something from the grill.
Coku Coku brings together local and Japanese cooking techniques and ingredients to intriguing effect, served against the backdrop of superb Bay of Naples views.
Liberty Room An expansive American buffet breakfast is served in the Liberty Room in the main building, with hot dishes cooked to order.
It’s hard to imagine a more inviting spot for a candlelit dinner than Scintilla, with its large terrace surrounded by greenery and the visiting fireflies.

Hidden amongst the gardens is the wellness centre where there is a Turkish bath, sauna and Jacuzzi pool. Massages and beautfy treatments are available here. There is also a small gym.
Learn the secrets of Neopolitan cuisine with a cookery lesson with the hotel's chef. Find the perfect hideaway in the immaculately maintained garden and enjoying the herby tang of the warm sea breeze. Follow in the footsteps of the Grand Tour travellers and spend a few hours lazing on the tiny private beach on a rocky promontory. There’s even an immaculately restored 1880s sailboat available for explorations along the coast.
The large swimming pool is set in the shade of the orange trees. Venture through the rock passage or take the lift to the beach where you will find the hotel's private solarium.
