Verona

Shakespeare's Fair City

Sitting pretty on the banks of the River Adige is the fair city of Verona. Often described as a mini-Rome, Verona is home to one of Italy's best preserved Roman arenas, fine art-packed galleries, a 12th-Century Duomo and beautiful gardens and churches. And then of course there's the renowned connection with Shakespeare's ill-fated lovers, Romeo & Juliet; one of the city's most visited sights is the Balcony of Casa di Giulietta tucked away above a tiny courtyard just off Via Cappello, street lined with shops are restaurants.

Lake Garda

Peaceful waters and towering peaks

Picture-perfect Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, is surrounded by rolling hills to the south and the more theatrical landscapes of the Alps to the north. Its eastern and western shores are both dotted with delightful terracotta-topped towns, elegant grand hotels dating back to the 19th Century, historic palaces and more modern wellness-inspired retreats.
