A design hotel and lively beach retreat on Dubai’s world-famous Palm Jumeirah.
Ultra-cool, ultra-modern and ultra-lively, W Dubai – The Palm is a big player on Dubai’s social scene; this is where chilled Ibiza beach club vibes meet the Middle East during the day and the place to see and be seen by night. The heart of the resort is the WET, a series of pools cascading down towards the beach catering to varying types of guests from adults-only to family friendly. Along the edge of two of the crescent-shaped pools are a handful of wicker cabanas that wouldn’t look out of place on an Instagram feed. In fact, there’s barely a spot here that couldn’t grace a perfectly curated grid – it’s a bright and bold design hotel with fantastically eclectic décor.

Rooms
With kaleidoscopic but tasteful colours and tiled waving statement walls, the style of the rooms and suites is reflective of the tres-cool atmosphere that the W radiates. The superlative names range from wonderful to Fantastic via Fabulous and Spectacular and the amenities from the W Mix Bars to rainfall showers; some suites even have a collection of vintage vinyl and a record player so you can start your night out with some in-room tunes how they should be heard.

Facilities
The resort’s personality is evident throughout its restaurants and bars – walk through the dark and moody vortex entrance to Akria Back which is run by a pro snowboarder turned chef, and sit down to some Japanese-meets-Korean cuisine; alternatively, satisfy more international tastes at bright and breezy LIV which is open at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Torno Subito is run by Michelin-starred chef Massimo Bottura - the spotlight here is on flavours of the Italian Riviera and, following its great reviews and ascending standing in the Dubai’s best restaurant lists, it should come as no surprise that the restaurant has been awarded a star of its own. Adults-only WET Deck is the place to head for live entertainment, drinks, dining and a famed Friday brunch while SoBe is the sunset spot of choice.
LIV
The resort’s main restaurant. It’s light, bright and serves up an international breakfast, lunch and dinner, buffet style.
Torno Subito
The Italian Michelin-starred restaurant, is the W’s pièce de resistance, dining wise. It’s headed up by one of the brightest stars on the Italian culinary scene, Massimo Bottura.
Akira Back
Japanese cuisine is on offer at self-titled Akira Black, a cool and dusky restaurant that is the brainchild of the internationally renowned chef where dishes are created using artisanal and season produce.
SoBe – Rooftop Lounge
The style at adults-only SoBe is 21st-century meets Art Deco and it’s the place to be at sunset thanks to the 360-views.
WET Deck
For daytime drinks, worldwide-inspired cuisine, DJ-spun tracks and a beach club atmosphere, head poolside to the resort's hot spot.
W Lounge
An alternative for daytime and evening drinks accompanied by small plates.
With tasting menus and classic favourites, Torno Subito serves a menu inspired by the glam 1960s era of the Italian Riviera.
