In a superb location, within walking distance of the temples, the hotel offers comfortable accommodation spread between the main house and bungalows. The main house, originally built in 1923, retains a traditional charm, whilst the attractive bungalows are set amid the landscaped gardens. There are a series of walking trails through the grounds and a private entrance directly into the ruins.

Facilities
The three restaurants and a poolside grill offer enticing international cuisine as well as introducing the adventurous to the wondrous flavours of Yucatan cooking. Much of the produce used is sourced from the hotel’s own garden. Local children perform regional dances at lunch and in the evenings the air is filled with the strumming of guitars. The hotel has several pools, a craft shop, a masseuse and tennis courts, but the undoubted highlight is the network of trails and paths that give access to the ancient Mayan sites that dot the grounds.

The main house’s 55 rooms and five suites have lovely garden views, ceiling fans, airconditioning, minibars and private balconies, while the beautiful bungalows boast hand-carved mahogany woodwork and stained glass as well as large shaded terraces and verandas.
