Explore the urban centres and rural splendours of Ontario and Quebec, celebrating Canada's English and French heritage. On your journey you will experience the most amazing landscapes including wilderness surroundings, rolling countryside, awe-inspiring waterfalls and cosmopolitan cities.

MEAL PLAN No meals are included except for breakfast on Day 14 when staying in four star accommodation.

ACCOMMODATION Is available in a choice of three star or four star hotels. In remote areas such as National Parks or small towns, this standard may not exist and accommodation may be more simple and rustic. Hotels will be confirmed with final itineraries.

Your itinerary

DAY 1 Collect your rental car at Toronto airport and make your own way to your downtown hotel. Enjoy the following day in Toronto exploring the city at your own pace. Why not take the lift to the top of the CN Tower and experience fabulous views of the city.

DAY 3 Drive east today to Kingston and tour Fort Henry. Take time to explore the sights and sounds of this river playground (approx. 164 miles).

DAY 4 A one hour cruise around the Thousand Islands region is included this morning before you continue north to Montreal. Whilst in Montreal visit Notre Dame Basilica, take a cruise along the St Lawrence River or explore its underground city (approx. 179 miles).

DAY 6 Carry on your journey through the province to Quebec City, Canada's oldest city. During your time in Quebec City explore Battlefields National Park or take a horse and carriage ride around this romantic city. If time permits drive out to see stunning Montmorency Falls (approx. 156 miles).

DAY 8 Today drive through Quebec’s dense terrain to Saint Alexis des Monts. Wildlife viewing trips to spot beavers and bears are available locally (approx. 119 miles).

DAY 10 This morning head off to Canada’s capital Ottawa. Spend your day exploring Ottawa’s lovely gardens and distinctive architecture.

DAY 11 Today head south for your scenic drive to Algonquin Provincial Park. Stay near Huntsville for the next two nights. Algonquin Provincial Park covers an area of over 3,000 square miles and has over 2,000 lakes, which are home to wildlife such as beavers, bear and moose (approx. 214 miles).

DAY 13 Drive past Toronto, stopping in Midland at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons before arriving in spectacular Niagara Falls. Whilst at Niagara, take a cruise on the Maid of the Mist and be prepared to get wet! Stay overnight at Niagara Falls (approx. 205 miles).

DAY 14 Leave some time today to drive to Niagara on the Lake, a quaint town which has been beautifully preserved. Continue back to Toronto airport and return your rental car (approx. 77 miles).

ACTIVITY PACKAGE UPGRADE

DAY 2 Take in the magnificent views of Toronto and mighty Lake Ontario at the top of th CN Tower which stands at over 500 metres tall during your admission ticket.

DAY 7 A two hour city of Quebec City which takes you to see highlights including the Plains of Abraham, the Citadel and the Latin Quarter.

DAY 10 Enjoy a two hour sightseeing tour of Ottawa with your hop on/off bus excursion which take you to all the main attractions including the Parliament Buildings, universities, museums and around the picturesque gardens and alonf the Rideau Canal.

DAY 13 Put your rain jacket on and be prepared for a ride of a lifetime onboard The Maid of the Mist, a 30 minute boat ride that takes you to the thundering waterfalls of Niagara Falls.
