ACCOMMODATION → Accommodation is provided in centrally located hotels. In more remote areas or smaller towns, accommodation may be more simple but even the Eco tents have private facilities.

TOUR INCLUDES → All sightseeing as detailed with a professional tour guide.

TRANSPORT INFORMATION → Departure and arrival airport transfers are included. Modern luxury coaches are airconditioned with reclining seats, two door access, onboard toilet, ample legroom and large panoramic windows. All AAT Kings coaches operate a non-smoking policy.

Western Discovery is escorted by an experienced professional Tour Director and Tour Driver and is operated by our touring partner, AAT Kings.

DAY 1 → Arrive in Darwin, transfer to your hotel and join a tour of the city.

DAY 2 → Head south towards Katherine stopping at the War Cemetery and then enjoy a cruise through the spectacular Katherine Gorge.

DAY 3 → Visit the historic Durack Homestead and then take a cruise along the Ord River from mighty Lake Argyle to Kanunurra.

DAY 4 → A tour of Kununurra explores this local hub of local industry. See the Ord River Irrigation Scheme then visit Hidden Valley National Park.

DAY 5 → Travel to Parry Lagoon Nature Reserve then onto Wyndham to the 5 Rivers Lookout. Later visit Warriu Park followed by a visit to the outback station of El Questro.

DAY 6 → Cruise through Chamberlain Gorge abounded by tropical vegetation. Stop at Emma Gorge Resort.

DAY 7 → Visit the spectacular diamond mine at Lirrgan Argyle. Enjoy a guided tour then continue to Halls Creek.

DAY 8 → Explore the remote township of Fitzroy Crossing. Later take a leisurely cruise through the magnificent Geikie Gorge.

DAY 9 → Travel to the port of Derby and marvel at the famous Boab Prison Tree before continuing to Broome.

DAY 10 → Enjoy a day at leisure in Broome, an isolated oasis with wide, sandy beaches.

DAY 11 → The Best of Kimberley Tour concludes today and you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
